We are an entity of The Cochrane Collaboration, an international non-profit and independent organisation, dedicated to keeping information about the effects of healthcare accurate, up to date and available to healthcare providers and the public.

The Cochrane Colorectal Cancer Group (CCCG) is one of 52 collaborative review groups based all over the world. The CCCG Editorial Office is placed at Bispebjerg Hospital, Copenhagen, Denmark.

The aim of the CCCG is to prepare and update Cochrane Systematic Reviews within the following topics:

• Colorectal, anal, and small bowel cancer
• Benign proctological diseases, peritoneal diseases, and surgical treatment for inflammatory bowel diseases
• Surgical anal diseases
• Abdominal hernias
• Appendiceal diseases
• Diverticulitis
• Peritonitis
